Most wellness retreats add a sauna and call it done. I start differently.
Suund is an architectural design studio specialising in small spaces built around wellbeing - glamping, rural retreats, cabins, and small homes where every decision, from orientation to threshold, is made with how you'll feel in mind.
Rooted in the Scottish Highlands. Working across the UK.
Wellness isn't a feature. It's the foundation.
I work with landowners, developers, and self-builders to create small spaces that are genuinely restorative — not just beautiful to look at, but nourishing to be in.
Every decision, from the way light enters a room to the relationship between a building and its landscape, is made with that intention from day one.
A straightforward process, from first conversation to planning approval.
I handle the complexity - design, drawings, planning applications, and coordination with specialist consultants, so you can focus on your vision.
1. Vision & Concept We define your brief together: what the space needs to do, who it's for, and how it should feel. I bring the design thinking; you bring the vision.
2. Design & planning I prepare all drawings and design documentation for planning submission, and coordinate with any specialist consultants required - ecology, structural, drainage etc. on your behalf.
3. Handover You receive a complete design and planning package, ready for your contractor or manufacturer to take forward.
